FramTech’s scope is within the agricultural, energy and environment sector in China.
FramTech has invested in three environment projects in China. All projects have a scope within carbon sink or reducing carbon emissions.
- Energy Efficiency in buildings and processes based on the Chinese EMC model. Developing projects and investing in energy efficiency measures.
- Forestation and afforestation projects in China. Framtech is working with the Shaanxi Desert Control Institute to develop highly efficient seeding and out planting systems for Scotch pine, hereunder forestry management, erosion control, increasing water holding capacity and biodiversity.
- FramTech’s From Waste to Value project is focusing on producing fertilizer and biogas from municipal sludge and other biomass sources. The majority of sludge from urban and industrial wastewater treatment in China is being dumped into landfills (90%), oceans and waterways. FramTech aims to identify and implement the most suitable technological solution for add-on sludge treatment facilities for municipal wastewater plants in China in order to turn environmentally harmful sludge into a valuable resource.
